My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights and could not have asked for more, the perfect getaway to wind down, relax and a little romance. Located just outside Masterton, close enough for all the amenities and far enough for the peace and quiet of the countryside. Whilst there we visted the vineyards of Martinborough and browsed the boutiques of Greytown, all within easy driving distance through beautiful coutryside (off SH2). The Cottage looks like a simple typical farm building from the outside although once through the front door, WOW!!! beautifully restored with lots of charactor and furnished to an extremely high standard. The owners provided ample quality provisions for breakfast inclusive of home and locally produced in season products which we cooked ourselves in the well equipped kitchen. Both my wife and I highly recommend the Shearers Cottage and intend to visit again. Darren & Nicky (TAUPO NZ)
